PARAMETRIC MODELING TECHNOLOGY FOR APPLYING HBIM TO KOREAN TRADITIONAL WOODEN ARCHITECTURE

Abstract. The objective of this study was to apply parametric modeling for Korean traditional wooden buildings including joints using a script-based engine. have complex structures composed numerous members called and they are difficult identify from the outside building. Therefore, creating virtual is essential fully understand them. This applied relationships connectivity each member.First, aims create single building by generating as many models based on drawings possible, supplementing with scanning that too shape parametrically. Subsequently, various joint types were classified literature drawings, parameters member designed systematized model. methodology can generate low-capacity because it scripts, unlike Scan-to-BIM visualize restoration plans non-existing architectural heritage replication buildings. Moreover, be utilized procedural tool at area surrounding landscape, gradually curved mechanical design.
